How to Apply Online for SSC CHSL 2020-21?

Candidates can follow the steps mentioned below to apply online for the SSC CHSL exam:

Step 1: Fill SSC CHSL Registration Form

Candidates need to fill the SSC CHSL registration form available on the official website of the commission. For the same, candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps:

  • Visit the official website of SSC – ssc.nic.in
  • Click on the ‘New User? Register Now' link
  • Fill SSC CHSL registration form

Once all the details are filled in, candidates can click on the Save button to proceed further.

Step 2: Upload Scanned Photo & Signature

Next, candidates need to upload their scanned colored photograph and signature in JPEG format as per the specifications mentioned below:

  • Once done, candidates can click on the 'Save Draft' and thereafter, the 'Final Submit' button to submit the registration form.
  • On clicking the button, a One-Time Password (OTP) will be sent to candidates' mobile number or email ID.
  • Candidates need to enter the OTP and click on Submit. On clicking the button, the registration form will be submitted successfully and a registration ID will be generated on the screen.
  • The login password will be sent to candidates on their registered email ID. Candidates must note down the ID and password and keep them for future reference.

Step 3: Fill the SSC CHSL Application Form

  • Once the registration is successfully done, candidates will be redirected to the application window.
  • Next, candidates need to click on the Apply button and start filling the online application form of SSC CHSL 2020-21.
  • It may be noted that the details filled in the registration form such as personal details will be auto-filled in the application form.
  • Some of the details to be filled by candidates in the application form are educational qualification, three preferences of the exam centre (in order of priority), etc.

Step 4: Pay SSC CHSL Application Fee

  • Candidates can pay SSC CHSL 2020-21 application fee in online or offline mode.
  • Application fee in offline mode can be paid through SBI challan.
  • Fees are payable through BHIM UPI/internet banking or by using credit/debit card of Visa/Mastercard/Maestro/RuPay.
  • On successful payment of the application fee, candidates’ SSC CHSL application process will be complete.
  • All registered candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form and keep it for future reference.

How to Re-Generate Registration Passwords?

If a password is forgotten, A candidate can regenerate the password by using the following steps:

  • Visit the official website of SSC
  • Click on the Forgot Password link
  • Select the permanent state
  • Enter registered email ID/ mobile number
  • Click on Submit
